Age Use Guidelines
Children under the age of 12 in the YMCA are required to be under the direct supervision of a parent, guardian or other responsible person OR enrolled in a supervised program. All children ages 12-15 are limited to no more than 4 hours per day and must leave by 7:00 p.m. Exceptions will be for those who are enrolled in a supervised program or who are with a parent, guardian, or other adult age 18 or older (brother or sister) who will assume responsibility for their supervision.
No school age children are permitted to use the YMCA before 3:00 p.m. on scheduled school days unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian age 18 or older (brother or sister). Exceptions will be children who are home schooled and are using the Y as part of their fitness program.
Only members/guests ages 18 and over may use the designated adult locker rooms. Family dressing areas are available for all others. If necessary, the Y recommends the use of the lower level participant’s dressing areas for dressing children from age 4 until they are capable of using the locker room areas on their own. Children under age 4 may use the opposite sex family locker rooms with a parent for dressing and showering.
