Click here for the June/July pool schedule.  Youth ages 8 & up may be in the pool without an adult IF they can swim without aid as determined by the lifeguard.  Their parent/guardian must be at the YMCA.  Anyone under age 8 as well as those over age 8 who require a swimming aid (as determined by the lifeguard) must be accompanied by a parent or adult age 19 or over.  The child must be within arm’s reach of the adult at all times.  The ratio of adults to children is as follows: children ages 6-8, 3 children to 1 adult; children 5 and under, 1 adult per child.

Swim Lessons

Registration forms are required to be filled out and are available at the front desk.  Bring a towel and one-piece swimsuit, goggles are optional.  **We do not teach anyone under the age of 3 for group or private lessons.

Adult & Child Lessons (Ages 1-3)

July 1st and 8th    10:15 am-10:45am      Registration begins June 15

Member Rate $40    Non Member Rate $85

These lessons are formatted to build the comfort level of the child around water while also continuing to grow the relationship between the adult and child.  The adult will be in the water with the child for the duration of the class.  This class helps to make water interaction with the child a positive and comfortable experience.  Games, songs, rhymes, and toys make this class a great introduction to being around water for younger children.

Youth Group Lessons (Ages 4-12)

July 10-20 M/T/TH      Registration begins June 12

Member Rate $40    Non Member Rate $85       6 or 6:30pm time slot      We will divide them the first day of class based on age/skill/comfort in the water.

Each class will be following a set curriculum.  On the first day of class, each participant will be evaluated & placed in a group based on their skill level.   The Pike level is for beginners & intermediates, and Starfish is the advanced level.  Depending on each session’s enrollment, there may be an experienced Pike with a new Starfish participant.  Participants must receive satisfactory marks in all skills to be in the Starfish class.  Our instructors will be handing out report cards on the last day of classes so that you are able to see what your child is doing well on and what they might need more practice on.  The goal of each class is to have top marks in all areas before moving on to the next class level.   If your little swimmer is able to do everything in our top offered class level, then a good option to consider would be private lessons.

Private Swim Lessons (Ages 3 to adult
Each private lesson will use curriculum and instruction to help each individual swimmer reach their desired goal.  A new registration form must be filled out with every new session of private lessons upon purchase/registration.  Payment is required after an instructor contacts you and must be made before the first lesson.  The cost for (6) 30-minute classes is $90 for members and $115 for non-members.

Adult Aqua Fitness Classes

Whatever your favorite workout—be it Zumba, spinning, yoga, or jogging—you can now do it in a pool near you. And it’s not just for show.  By getting your sweat on in the water, you eliminate the joint-jolting and tiring impact of many exercises while adding all-over resistance for greater strength and weight-loss gains, according to the Stockholm University College of Physical Education and Sports.  Bonus: People who do pool exercises enjoy their workouts more than those who stick to dry land, per research from Baylor University Medical Center.

Note:  Non-members use the family program participant locker rooms, not the adult member’s locker rooms.

The following classes are free for members.
Water Fitness       Mon/Wed/Sat 9:00 a.m. & Mon/Tu/ Thu 10:00 a.m.
