Our full day camps involve youth in activities including STEM activities, arts and crafts, hiking, canoeing, swimming, outdoor play, drama, music, service learning, relationship building, indoor play, field trips, character building, archery, fishing, climbing, basketball, soccer, volleyball, nature study, team building, and MORE! Our morning camps have weekly themes and feature hands-on science, math, art and reading activities. Our afternoons are filled with recreation opportunities and each day offers lots of time to play!

Parents – you may sign your child up for any camp you wish regardless of which school your child attends (must be grade appropriate)


 

2015 Camp Fees

Weekly Rates:

Registration fee May 18: $45 per child

SOME CAMP ADVENTURE FIELD TRIPS MAY REQUIRE AN EXTRA FEE IN ADDITION TO THE WEEKLY FEE

You can pay camp fees by cash, check or credit card (no automatic drafts).  Credit card payments can be made by phone.  

Camp fees require a registration fee plus full payment if registering for only one or two weeks. If registering for three or more weeks you must pay the registration fee plus $5 per week per child in advance. Payments are due one week prior to attending. You will be charged for all weeks you register for unless you give a two week notice of cancellation. Registration fees and advance payment fees are not refundable.

Financial assistance:

The YMCA establishes membership dues and program fees necessary to meet operational and maintenance costs. However, it is the policy of the YMCA that no one be denied the benefit of membership or participation in programs due to financial hardship. We encourage people who might benefit from participation in the YMCA but are in need of financial assistance to contact the YMCA. Funds for this purpose are provided through contributions to our annual sustaining membership campaign and the United Way. The YMCA will assist people based on demonstrated need and the YMCA’s ability to fund assistance.    »Download financial assistance form

ALL FINANCIAL AID IS BASED ON THE ABILITY OF THE YMCA TO FUND ASSISTANCE. WE DO HAVE LIMITS ON THE AMOUNT OF ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE.

Camp Timberwood: June 15 – August 21

Entering grades 1-5

-Serves Lexington City Schools, Davis Townsend, Reeds, Southmont, Southwood, Tyro, and Welcome students
-Meets at the YMCA and Lexington Kiwanis Camp

Camp Northern Light: June 15 – July 31

Entering grades 1-6

-Serves Friedberg, Midway, Northwest and some North Davidson Middle School students
-Meets at Friedberg School and YMCA on Fridays (transportation provided)
